Granted technology isn't necessarily linear, but certain leaps cannot be met without certain prerequisites being met. The same holds true for the Fallout universe. I am coming from the school of thought that the more ridiculous the proposition the less I find it to be a compelling argument. The reality being that Nanotechnology is basically biological mimickry with all the obvious limitations. I know nanotechnology is all kinds of sexy right now, but honestly it may be the case that the potential is being greatly exaggerated for the purposes of story telling. At the end of the day you can blow any armor up to proportions that are frankly ridiculous. The fewest number of assumptions being required for it to actually be realized in the real world. For the obvious reason of it being somewhat believable. I am going to have to go with the Mjolnir armor paired with a Spartan.
I don't get why people go saying "quit saying there will be mods, it should be in the game by default!" when Bethesda is renowned for being so mod-friendly. I, too, would love to see that, but if it's not in the vanilla game I do agree with you, there will always be mods. They did seem to be drawing from Project Nevada in other areas, so I wouldn't be surprised if we see that in Fallout 4. Probably wont be able to but that will come with mods. It would be cool to upgrade a power armor with the capability to use Thermal or EMF vision.
On that note a bit more off topic but I wonder how much we can upgrade power armor besides the body parts, I saw that you can attach a headlamp when they were going through the customization video and there is the jetpack so I wonder what else.Īlso I wonder if there will be internal upgrades, something I loved in Project Nevada was the diffrent vision modes for power armor and other advanced armor.
There might not be but it will be interesting to see what modders do. I also wonder if there will be a diffrent HUD when using the X-01 helmet. The advanced model is typically supposed to be more agile then the T series so I wonder how much more easilly it will move in game with how power armor works now.
